Towards the end of March, TheGamingRevolution revealed that Modern Warfare 3 Remastered was in the works. However, in his new video, he claims that the game has actually been over for a while now.
Apparently, the remasters of Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 have both been on Activision’s shelf since 2018, but filming in Dallas thwarted the publisher’s release plans and delayed both titles. The original plan was to release the remastered trilogy before Modern Warfare in 2019.
TheGamingRevolution further claims that Activision and Sony reached an agreement in 2016 to release the remastered trilogy on PlayStation 4 first. Like its predecessors, Modern Warfare 3 will be a timed PS4 exclusive.
The insider then guided viewers through an interesting Easter egg in Modern Warfare 2 Remastered which appears to corroborate some of the rumors.
TheGamingRevolution couldn’t say when he thought Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered would be released, but it doesn’t look like it will be too long before.

He also followed the multiplayer rumor of Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, stating that his source now claims that Activision might not release it after all because of the way it happened (they don’t think the community will like).
As usual, take everything with a grain of salt, but as we said before, TheGamingRevolution’s reports are generally pretty accurate – so precise that Activision saw its Twitter account suspended twice to share images and videos disclosed.
We will update our readers when we have more information.
